WHAT INFORMATION WE COLLECT

This notice is applicable to all information gathered or submitted, either through the website or by post. On certain pages you can subscribe to a newsletter or to receive ongoing further information. The types of information we collect are:
Name, Address, phone numbers, email address, gender, dates of birth, medical conditions and associated information.

HOW WE OBTAIN PERSONAL INFORMATION

We do not store or collect information on our website from those we know are under 18 years of age. After enrolling to any service provided by FAE Ltd parents/guardians are sent by email contained with in the PayPal payment receipt, an interactive form requesting further personal information about themselves and their child.

This form, once complete can either be returned by email or by posting to the company registered address. Once received the information is stored on an external hard-drive not accessible by the internet, and the original is either destroyed or deleted securely from the mail server.

HOW WE USE THIS INFORMATION

We use the information you provide about yourself and someone else when enquiring or applying for membership to The Film Academy Edinburgh.

Only authorised members of The Film Academy Edinburgh limited have access to your information, which is curtailed to allow access only to information that is pertinent to the individual’s role within the Film Academy.

We use return email addresses to answer the email we receive. FAE will not disclose personal data to third parties for marketing purposes although FAE ltd may use personal data for their own marketing and business development purposes, including for the purposes of advertising and promoting new products and/or services by FAE directly to you.

STORING THE INFORMATION

Your collected information as described above is only kept for a period of 1 month after your membership of The Film Academy Edinburgh Ltd has ended, though we retain your email address, as per your original consent, to keep you updated of future events, unless you request this also to be deleted. Otherwise, all your information is securely and permanently deleted from all electronic storage devices and or paper format, on or before 1 month following the end of your membership.

DATA SECURITY

To prevent unauthorized access, maintain data accuracy, and ensure the correct use of information, we have put in place appropriate physical, electronic, and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

FINANCIAL INFORMATION

One-off fees, such as holiday camps, trips, merchandise etc, are administered through PayPal. The Film Academy Edinburgh does not have access to your financial information provided to PayPal and we are satisfied they are GDPR compliant. Memberships are administered securely through GoCardless. The Film Academy Edinburgh does not have access to any of your financial information. We have satisfied ourselves that GoCardless are GDPR compliant.
